Why is the broadcast not working?
There are various reasons why a broadcast doesn’t work. This may be partly due to errors in the broadcaster but also wrong with the viewer. If the broadcast is “offline”, it usually depends on the person broadcasting. If the broadcast is hacking or the player is black, the fault may be with the viewer. Please try the below to rule out that the error is on your page watching.
- Check the internet connection, we recommend that you have a stable connection of at least 5 mbit. Feel free to test your connection via Bredbandskollen.se
- Reload the page, if the broadcast has started after loading the page, you may need to reload the page for the broadcast to start.
- If it still doesn’t work try shutting down the browser and reopening it.
When a broadcast doesn’t start on time, it can be due to different things. In cups and other types of events, time shifts in the schedule are not uncommon, which then also affects the start time of the broadcasts.
Technical problems at the broadcast location can also occur, which means that the image does not go out to the viewers at the scheduled start time.

What should I broadcast live?
What do I need to broadcast?
The solidsport channel is created here – solidsport.com/join – Completely free of charge.
For those who want to do more advanced productions with multiple cameras, it is also fine. Through the Solidsport platform you will receive an rtmp link that you send against after you start your channel.
What internet do I need to broadcast live?
In general, it can be said that 4G works well in most cases, however, there can be problems if you are broadcasting inside a hall where the 4G signal has difficulty getting through. Outdoors, 4G is usually possible to broadcast with. If you don’t have 4G in the device you’re broadcasting with, you can use a 4G router that you connect to via Wi-Fi.
Wifi is another wireless option that is often available in sports halls. Just make sure that the network is not used by too many others and that the network does not shut down at regular time intervals or has a firewall that does not let the broadcast through. Please check with the person responsible for the sports hall what applies.
A fixed connection via fiber is the most stable option but requires you to have an adapter to get the Ethernet cable into your phone or tablet.
Regardless of the type of connection you use, we recommend that you always test the connection speed before you start live streaming. We recommend a connection of at least 10 mbit up, although it works to broadcast with a connection of 2-3 mbit provided that the connection is stable.
Test your connection via Bredbandskollen.se
If you have any questions about which internet connection to use, please contact us via the support form further down this page and we will help you.

Why isn't my broadcast on the first page?
Why isn't my replay posted?
- The Internet has hacked during the broadcast and has therefore created several recordings of a broadcast. In this case, you must go to the live broadcast afterwards and click on recordings from that broadcast. During recordings, they should then appear several clips, mark them in the small box and merge the recordings. Then set the merged recording as a replay. Depending on how long the broadcast has been, it may take different lengths of time for a replay to be published, the longer the broadcast has been, the longer it will take to publish the replay.
- Transmission time is not over. If you have live streamed a match and set a broadcast time that ends long after the broadcast ends, the replay will not be published until the end time of the broadcast is reached. What you can do is post the replay manually by going into the live broadcast and clicking on recordings, and then selecting the recording that is available and setting as a replay.
- In cases where the transmission time is too short and a broadcast is interrupted after the end of the broadcast time, parts of the replay may remain unpublished. If you notice that the end of the broadcast is missing from the replay, go to the replay, click on recordings from the broadcast, remove the replay that exists and see if more recordings appear. If you see more recordings, merge them and publish as a replay.
- If you are livestreaming with something other than Solidsport Broadcast, it is important that you check that recording is turned on on the live broadcast otherwise nothing will be recorded and no replay will be published. An alternative to having recording turned on all the time is to use time-controlled recording. The recording will then start when the broadcast goes out to the viewers. You can always check if recording is enabled when you’re inside Admin on the current live broadcast.
How does the team/association/cup make money by broadcasting?
Anyone who becomes a Monthly Supporter will see all the content included in the Monthly Support for one or more channels, depending on whether the Monthly Support is covered by a league or an entire association. It’s the broadcasters who put the price on their broadcasts and their monthly support.
In addition to PPV and Monthly Support, All Access is also usually offered as a popular option during cups and events. With an All Access pass, you can access all content for a limited period of time, which includes both live broadcasts and replays.
Solidsport manages the entire payment flow and support for viewers. At least half of the revenue always goes to the broadcaster.
How can a broadcasting team or club get their money?
What is All Access, Monthly Supporter and PPV?
Like All Access, monthly supporters provide access to all content on a specific Solidsport channel. The monthly support is automatically renewed every month until you end it. At least half of the revenue always goes to the person you support, which becomes an important revenue for the broadcaster.
PPV (Pay per View) is a third payment method. If you buy something PPV, you only get access to the broadcast you buy. In most cases, the replay is also included.
Can you film whatever you want?
There is one thing that is important to keep in mind when filming and that is not to violate personal privacy, in concrete terms it means, for example, zooming in on a player who has just been injured. Instead, you should turn the camera away from the injured player while waiting for the game to start again.
If you are filming a match where you have received something that may feel offensive, we would like you to contact us so that we can cut out that particular sequence on the replay. The easiest way to contact us is via the contact form at the bottom of the page. support@solidsport.com so we can help cut out the sequence of the damage.
What about filming and GDPR?
No special permission for filming is required.
Filming and shooting in public places is perfectly permissible as long as one does not offend another person through disturbing or secret filming. Public spaces refer to all places to which the public has free access and this includes virtually all sports stadiums we have in the country. The only exception is a few stadiums where elite senior sport is shown, e.g. in the field of sport. Friends Arena, Globen or Ullevi. These are considered individual locations and require permission for filming.
Filming of sporting events is covered by the Freedom of Expression Act.
One of the fundamental rights and freedoms that apply in Sweden is freedom of expression. All people should have the right to express their views on virtually everything – freedom of expression should promote ‘a free exchange of views and comprehensive information’. Freedom of expression is governed by two constitutions, the Freedom of the Press Act (TF) and the Freedom of Expression Constitution (YGL). Here, for example, there is a rules on whistleblower protection, the publisher responsible and the prohibition of censorship.
Filming of matches, competitions and sporting events is perfectly legal and is covered by YGL – this means freedom of expression.
However, freedom of expression is violated when filming/shooting takes place in commercial contexts.
Example:
It is allowed to record an ice hockey match without special permission and show it on the Soldisport channel. However, it is not allowed to cut out a match sequence and then use that sequence in e.g. a commercial for Stadium. In the latter case, permission is always required from those involved in the match sequence in the commercial.
GDPR allows the filming and handling of personal data
The new EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) contains rules aimed at protecting the privacy of the individual and his/her personal data. In the case of Solidsport, the GDPR applies to any information that may be linked to a natural person, such as a personal data. name, address and account number.
However, like the previous Personal Data Act, there is an exception that makes it clear that the GDPR should not be applied to the extent that it would violate the provisions on freedom of the press and freedom of expression, see Article 85 of the GDPR.
In Sweden, the legislator has also included the exemption in Swedish law, see Chapter 1, Section 7 of the Data Protection Act (SFS 2018:218), which states: The EU Data Protection Regulation and this law shall not apply to the extent that it would be contrary to the Freedom of The Press Regulation or the Freedom of Expression Act. Articles 5-30 and 35-50 of the EU Data Protection Regulation and Chapter 2-5. this Law shall not apply to the processing of personal data for journalistic purposes or for academic, artistic or literary creation.
When introducing the exception for freedom of expression, the government states that the concept of freedom of expression must be given a broad interpretation to take into account the importance of the right to freedom of expression in any democratic society. If the exemption applies, the core provisions of the GDPR shall not apply. For example, with journalistic or artistic activities, it needs to be done to protect the environment and the environment. not be the issue of professional journalism, even opinion on a blog protected by the exception. There is also no requirement that a sports broadcast must be professional in order to be protected by freedom of expression and thus be exempt from gdpr.
What can’t you film?
It is not forbidden to film a person who is in a public place, but if filming takes place persistently and approached, it may in the extreme case constitute molestation. Filming is not allowed in private locations. Anyone who illegally secretly takes up a picture of someone who is inside a dwelling or toilet, dressing room or other similar space may be convicted of defamatory photography, home invasion or trespassing.
These provisions do not therefore apply to the recording of matches and other sporting events, since they must always be open in a sports stadium and never in secret or in private settings.
Ethical rules when filming.
There are not really many rules around filming and photography in Swedish law. As mentioned earlier, it is ultimately a question of freedom of expression – each of us should be able to speak out on virtually anything. However, the media has several rules of press ethics to take into account. These rules are not penalised, but the media take these seriously anyway. The press ethics rules are supervised by the Press Opinion Board (PON) and the Public Press Ombudsman (PO). One can regard the ethical rules as a kind of ‘sham’ where journalists and media companies are reluctant to end up.
The press ethics rules do not directly apply to filming and shooting matches made available on SolidSport. But they contain several reasonable and sound rules that one should follow even as a “hobby filmmaker”. Examples of press ethics rules are that you should respect people’s privacy, show consideration for unfamiliar interviewees and that you should not manipulate and falsify images and films. Furthermore, care should be taken with name and image publishing that can harm people.
Information and advice when filming.
- Filming in public places is fully permitted without permission. It is therefore permissible, for example, for the European Union to be allowed to take part in the 2002 budget. record a football match in a youth league without the special permission of the opposing team, a guardian and a referee.
- One of the fundamental rights and freedoms that apply in Sweden is freedom of expression. All people should have the right to express their views on virtually everything – freedom of expression should promote ‘a free exchange of views and comprehensive information’.
- The new EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) contains rules aimed at protecting the privacy of the individual and his/her personal data. gdpr should not be applied to the extent that it would be contrary to the provisions on freedom of the press and freedom of expression.
- Use common sense. If a situation arises where someone may demand not to be filmed, this should be taken into account, unless this appears manifestly unlikely.
- Respect privacy. For example, be careful to film someone who has been injured or sick.
- Do not film in private and individual areas without permission, such as schools, hospitals and protection areas. Keep in mind that there may be photo bans in large commercial venues such as Ericsson Globe, Friends Arena and other big venues.
- Never use films and photographs of athletes in advertising contexts without their approval.
- Secret and covert filming/photography in private spaces such as a toilet is strictly prohibited and is considered a crime.
